With strong experience at the intersection of policy, innovation, and business development, RTD Talos contributes essential expertise to strengthening the long-term impact and sustainability of the IFIGENEIA project.
RTD Talos was established in September 2000, at a time when the global economy was transitioning toward a new economic model and Cypriot businesses, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises, were facing significant competitiveness challenges. In parallel, the Cypriot government was navigating the process of harmonisation with the EU acquis and the implementation of development policies within the broader European framework. Since its foundation, RTD Talos has followed a dynamic development path and has quickly established itself as one of Cyprus’s reliable partners in the consulting services market. Early on, the organisation recognised the importance of connecting the Cypriot economy with the wider European market and focused on leveraging the opportunities arising from Cyprus’s integration into the European Union. Run by a team of young scientists and supported by a dynamic network of external partners, RTD Talos provides a comprehensive range of consulting and support services. These include advising the Cypriot government on economic, social, and development policy, innovation, and SME support, as well as assisting Cypriot businesses in areas such as strategy, research, innovation, and technological development. The organisation’s core mission is to help businesses take advantage of opportunities within the European economy, develop new products, services, and processes, strengthen infrastructure and entrepreneurial capacity, reduce operational costs, enhance competitiveness, and improve the quality of services and products in line with the requirements of the unified European market. Today, RTD Talos is a partner in 17 consortia, 13 of which are Horizon Europe projects, and maintains a strong and growing presence in the local consulting market.
Within the IFIGENEIA project, RTD Talos plays a key role by leading WP5 – Business Plan for End Users: From Science to Business, Including Spinoffs. In this context, RTD Talos is responsible for developing a comprehensive business plan aimed at securing further public funding and private equity to support the construction of a LINAC facility with an associated radiopharmaceutical production unit beyond the project’s completion. Through this work, RTD Talos directly contributes to ensuring the long-term sustainability and real-world impact of IFIGENEIA.
